Objective | Create a chair held together by wood joinery without the assistance of hardware.
Form Inspiration
Ideation
Mini models are exactly a 6th of the intended size and made of basswood
Fabrication
Used the jointer, planer, tablesaw, bandsaw, miter saw and various sanding methods
My biggest challenge was stopping the wood from bending while the wood glue dries. My solution was stacking heavy wood scraps on the seat to weigh it down and keep it straight.
